dealing with gaps

Gaps in the evidence base can be filled in a number of ways. The most obvious is to conduct some form of clinical trial or evaluation. If this is the best way forward then Translucency works with you to define the advantages and disadvantages of collecting (or not collecting) specific data items. We help adapt existing study designs, or create new ones to minimise the costs and maximise the benefits of any data collection. It may be possible to fill gaps without incurring the costs and time delays of clinical trials. We identify any alternative strategies for filling in actual or anticipated gaps in the evidence base which may be available, such as through modelling or even by using published information generated by your competitors.
