Our client had a novel treatment for non-union of tibial fractures which can be a particularly difficult and expensive condition to treat. The client wanted to make a business case based on cost-offsets from savings resulting from improved healing rates.
We used cost effectiveness data provided by the client and data which we located and generated to develop a series of country specific models to demonstrate the cost-effectiveness case taking into account the reimbursement environment in each country, such as reimbursement rates and current practice.
We demonstrated to the client the strength of the business case based on the models we had generated, which could be made in each of the markets of interest.
The results of the model were used to focus the company’s resources on the markets which had been identified as of most interest in terms of price and speed and degree of market penetration which could be expected.
