New products and services may be described by existing procedure codes but in some cases the technology is so novel that it falls outside current coding systems. Sometimes it is not clear whether a technology is covered by existing codes. Where the product or service is covered by an existing procedure code, the reimbursement may be insufficient to cover the cost of the proposed new treatment package.

Translucency interprets procedure codes and verifies for each market which codes, if any, are relevant to your offering. We advise on a country-by-country basis whether it is in our client’s interest to work within current codes or apply for a new procedure code.
