Our client was experiencing problems in securing inclusion of its branded product in PCT formularies. Where formularies were actively used, sales of their product were very low. Translucency was asked to generate a case which the client could use to support arguments for inclusion in the formulary.

Translucency prepared a short paper highlighting the key arguments favouring the branded product against generic alternatives. The paper used tables and graphics which allowed the key messages to be communicated clearly to a relatively casual and non-specialist reader, while being fully referenced.
Among PCTs with which our client had been experiencing difficulties and others with which difficulties were anticipated, the client succeeded in gaining inclusion in slightly more than its target percentage.
