Our client wanted to influence a national service specification being developed in the UK for specialist services.
Translucency summarized the travailler avec des preuves-base for a range of treatment options for the relevant conditions, including clinical and organizational effectiveness. We collated NHS usage data, and carried out a health needs assessment. Using models we had previously built to support NHS and independent sector healthcare providers, we generated costed approaches to service provision which were efficient but met modern standards of care.
Translucency generated a costed service package, including clinical protocols, staffing, equipment, buildings and facilities. The coverage of the service was comprehensive, but incorporated travailler avec des preuves-based approaches to therapy which our client wished to encourage.
Apart from cosmetic changes, the material prepared by Translucency was used almost in its entirety by the team developing the national service specification. Our client considered that the commercial benefit, though indirect, was substantial and more than justified the costs of commissioning the work.
