Our client needed to understand how its product and the associated surgical procedure was funded in a number of EU markets in order to make decisions about politiques de prix, marketing and sales. Translucency was asked to do this urgently so that the EU marketing manager could have a more informed discussion with the North American head office about the following year’s budget.
On the basis of agreed key questions with the client, we provided a consistent format for our nationally based associates to research and report on the funding and reimbursement environment in each country.
We produced reimbursement roadmaps for each country of interest with recommendations. All those who had worked on the roadmap were available for a telephone conference to allow the EU marketing manager to explore issues so that she was fully briefed for the meeting. Subsequent to the telephone conference, we prepared final briefing material for our client, including a succinct PowerPoint presentation.
Our client was able to identify the short-, medium- and long-term opportunities. On this basis, she was able to quantify the budgetary needs and justify these to the global marketing manager.
